Q. What is a PDF?
A. PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format that has captured all the elements of a printed document as an electronic image that you can view, navigate, print, or forward to someone else. PDF files are created using Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Capture, or similar products. To view and use the files, you need the free Acrobat Reader, which you can easily download. Once you've downloaded the Reader, it will start automatically whenever you want to look at a PDF file.
Q. What does DPI mean?
A. Digital images are essentially made up of little "dots". We use DPI (Dots Per Inch) as a measure of resolution. Generally speaking, the higher the number, the higher the resolution. We generally need 300 or higher dpi for print quality.
Q. What is a "Full Bleed"?
A. An image or illustration that reaches the edge of the paper on any or all four sides. Also known as borderless printing. Extra charges often incur since bleeds require the image to be printed on larger paper than the final trim size.
